New Collections Open at the IMH Archives: The 3rd batch of Special collection of Investigation Bureau, Ministry of Justice (2,332 volumes)

       Investigation Bureau (IB) Special Collection Room materials are intelligence and information on the Chinese Communist Party collected by the Bureau of Investigation and Statistics of the IB. It is regarded as one of the three main materials sources for studying the early history of the CCP. The other two are the Daxi Archives: President Chiang Kai-shek cultural relics and the Shi Sou Collection: Vice President Chen Cheng cultural relics, both now housed in Academia Historica, Taipei. The IB began cooperating with the Archives in 2019 to digitize the special collection materials and they were placed in the Archives after sorting. The IB required that all the archives were made public in batches in 2012, 2022 and 2023. This batch is the third and final batch; reference materials include the CCP Soviet period, United Front period, special investigations, quitting the Party, announcement, notification, historical materials and other materials. They also include writings by major figures in the early period of the CCP such as Chen Shaoyu陳紹禹, Nie Rongzhen聶榮臻, Xi Zhongxun習仲勳, Bo Yibo薄一波, Kao Gang高崗and Kang Sheng康生.

(1) The collection covers the period 1919 to 1974. This batch adds 2,332 more volumes and brings the total to 5,128 volumes.
